Casement WindowsCasement windows are simply windows that attach to their frame by more than one hinge, and are an incredibly common site in the UK. Casement windows pre-date sliding sash windows but are still the most commonly used type style of window in new build homes. On the continent it is most likely you will see casement windows that open inwards in to the house, with a set of heavy shutters that open externally.
All of our casement windows are made by hand at our workshop in Pudsey, Leeds. We are a family run business that have been making casement windows and other bespoke joinery for over 20 years, and take immense pride in helping our customers get exactly the look they want for their property.
The main advantage of casement windows is that they can be opened completely, giving you a larger gap than with double hung or sliding sash windows. Due to the angle at which each pane opens, casement windows can also be very helpful in venting a breeze through your property if you have other structures nearby that funnel the wind at an acute angle.
If you are unsure as to whether casement windows are the best choice for your property then we would be more than happy to discuss alternative options with you. The same goes if you are interested in any of our other work such as bespoke doors or staircases. Just give us a ring on 0113 236 1384 and we can talk through the requirements of you and your building. |
